Aetna and CVS merged in late 2018. Since then, they’ve been working on creating HealthHubs and have opened three in Houston. The hubs have a wellness center as well as a chronic care area for diseases like diabetes. Not only will this allow more patients to receive diagnoses on their own terms, but it also allows the stores to put their floor space to better use.
What can you expect to see in the new HealthHubs?
- Care Concierge that guides individuals to different services, helps them understand how their health insurance works and can assist with health and wellness devices
- iPads where customers can view a variety of health apps and games
- HIGI stations where customers can check their blood pressure, pulse, weight and BMI
